About KiliMarathon
Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, 5 895 m, is the highest free standing mountain in the world.
Every year, a standard 42.2 km marathon, a 21.1 km half marathon and a 5 km fun run or walk is held in the town of Moshi, Tanzania with Mt. Kilimanjaro as your backdrop. The professionally organized and sponsored route is a glorious journey through small villages, farms, lush banana and coffee plantations with locals cheering you along the perimeter of the ‘Roof of Africa’, many water points and a welcoming reception back at Moshi stadium.
