Be The Rain Trust has been requested by Nadosoito Primary School in Arusha, Tanzania to fund an outdoor ‘kitchen’ where lunch can be prepared for almost 800 students and teachers daily. Up until now there was no water but with BTRT’s assistance in repairing both of the decrepit water tanks, and trucking in clean water to refill tank plus repairs to a small source of water piped into the tank, there should be enough water to use for drinking, cooking and cleaning. Nadosoito proposed to create an outdoor kitchen constructed with cement blocks, timber posts, partial metal siding and roofing. No electricity here… so a simple construction to protect the cooking utensils, fireplace area from the rain and critters. Let’s hope we can raise the funds so the children will now not only have a cup of water to drink but food for their growing minds and bodies…
