e-Reader Program

Be The Rain Trust want to bring progressive learning to Nadosoito Primary School by partnering with teachers who have initiated successful e-Reader programs in Tanzania.

After consulting with Barbara Robinson Bruneau, a Librarian in British Columbia, Canada who recommended e-Readers and then confirming her recommendation with our research and with other NGO’s in Tanzania who had established e-Reader programs in Primary Schools, Be The Rain Trust felt this to be a modern and worthy initiative.

In economically impoverished communities in the sub Sahara you’ll find students like anywhere else are aware of electronic devices even though most have never heard of, or seen, an e-Reader. However, students go through school and are soon faced with a technological world of communications.

As confirmed by a Tanzanian teacher who uses e-Readers every morning in her curriculum, a students fascination and enthusiasm has proven to engage students resulting in much improved learning.

Now with the recent installation of SOLAR power in Nadosoito’s new Library, We CAN implement an electronic e-Reader program.

This means We WISH TO RAISE $6,500 to kickstart the e-Reader program.

Please share your thoughts and expertise in this progressive educational opportunity for students at Nadosoito Primary School.
